Germination

Sow indoors. Sow 2mm deep into moist well-drained seed compost. Just cover the seed with soil. Propagate 20°C. Germination 10-24 days. Once seedlings are large enough to handle transplant to 8cm pots. Acclimatise and plant out in early summer with 30cm spacing. Can be sown directly in late spring 3-4mm deep into good compost. Germination takes 10-30 days. Thin seedlings to 30cm spacing.

Growing

Water well until established, approx. 30cm in height.

Cultivation

Deadhead if you do not want it to self-seed. If you wish to collect seed allow the spherical heads to become dry and brown before cutting.
