Germination

Sow directly where it is to flower Mar-May. Sow 3mm deep into prepared soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Sow in rows 30cm apart. Ideal temp. 20°C. Germination takes 2 weeks approx. Thin seedlings as required.

Growing

Prefers a well-drained soil in full sun. will thrive in a rich soil but can tolerate a poor soil, where growing height will be reduced. Will require winter protection.

Cultivation

Will self-seed in optimal conditions. Deadhead if you do not want volunteer seedlings next season.
