Germination
Sow outside in spring. Surface sow onto moist seed compost or soil. Just cover seed with a sprinkling of soil. Ideal temp. 22°C. Compost must remain consistently moist, this can be achieved using the 'bog method' sit the pot or tray into another container filled with 3cm water. Germination should be easy. Grow on. Plant out to final position when well grown in summer.
Growing
Prefers a deep, fertile, consistently moist soil in full sun. Requires little attention.
Cultivation
Cut back in late autumn-winter. Will spread freely via its root system. Propagate by division in spring-summer.
