Best to sow directly Mar-May. Sow 5mm deep where they are to flower. Keep soil moist. Germination takes 2 weeks. Once germinated thin to 8cm spacing. Successional sow for continuous show of flowers. Can be started early indoors. Sow 5mm deep into moist well-drained seed compost. Ideal temp. 13°C. Acclimatise seedlings and plant out in May. Can be sown into a cold frame in autumn.
Growing
Prefers a well-drained light soil in full sun. Water regularly. Fertilise well and often for improved bloom production.
