Germination

Sow directly in spring, after danger of frost has passed. Sow into prepared soil which has been raked to a fine tilth and watered. Sow 1-6mm deep approx. Ideal temp. 12-22°C. Germination takes 1-8 weeks approx. although most seedlings will emerge 1-4 weeks. Germination should be easy. Thin seedlings as required. Water well until established.

Growing

Prefers any moist but well-drained soil in full sun. Requires little attention. Water when the soil begins to dry. Intermittent weeding will allow for the flower seeds to flourish.

Cultivation

Very easy to care for. Most varieties may self-seed. All will be cut down by frost. Pull and compost at the end of the growing season.
