Germination
Sow into a cold frame in autumn. Some varieties included may have hard seed coats, if so, soak prior to sowing. Surface sow onto moist, well-drained seed compost. Just cover seed with a fine sprinkling of soil. Allow autumn warmth, followed by natural winter cold to offer ideal conditions for germination to occur in spring as the weather warms. Can be sown indoors in spring at room temp. with erratic results. Germination can take many months for some varieties. Acclimatise and plant out seedlings when well grown and after danger of frost has passed. SOME PLANTS INCLUDED ARE TOXIC, DO NOT INGEST.
Growing
Prefers any moist but well-drained soil in full or partial sun. All plants included are hardy and should be able to withstand frost.
Cultivation
Generally, deadhead to prolong the flowering window. Prune as required to maintain a pleasant shape and to remove damaged or congested branches. If the growing area is overcrowded lift and divide roots. Divisions may be planted elsewhere.
